What mileage do the cars have?

All new, unregisted cars are supplied with virtually no mileage. Some mileage e.g. less than 10 miles, may have been accumulated due to car transfer between showrooms on the continent.

How do I buy one of your cars?

Find the car to suit your requirements on our website. Contact us and we will take you through the procedure. If you cannot find the car you would like, we will endeavour to assist you to locate the car most suitable to your requirements and budget.

If the car I require is not available from stock, how much deposit will be needed to order the car?

Normally, 10% of the invoice price. This may vary slightly, we will inform you of the exact figure at the earliest possible opportunity.

If I have paid a deposit, when do I pay the remainder of the balance?

The balance is payable 7-10 days before the car is due at the garage.

Does the price of the car include taxes?

All cars are tax-free exports. VAT is payable in whichever country you wish to register the vehicle.

Do I pay for the car in Sterling?

All car payments are made in Euros, or whichever currency applies in the country of purchase, i.e. Denmark - Krone. Our administration and delivery fees are payable in Sterling.

What is the most cost effective way of transferring money abroad for a car purchase?

We recommend a Foreign Exchange company who offer more advantageous rates than high street banks and also do not impose charges on transactions.

Car insurance on the Continent seems very expensive. Can you recommend a more cost effective method of insuring cars abroad?

We recommend Direct Line. They provide car insurance for UK citizens moving to mainland Europe.

Do you accept cars in part exchange?

No. We are car brokers and not car dealers, therefore we are unable to accept cars in part exchange against new vehicles.

Do you offer discount for cash?

No. Our prices are already very competitive, therefore we cannot offer further discounts.

How do I pay for my new vehicle?

The deposit and balance for the vehicle are paid directly to the European main dealer via BACS. We can recommend a foreign exchange company to you.

Our broker fee and delivery costs are payable by cheque to 1st Car Imports.
