How to order

Let 1st Car Imports assist in making the purchase of your new car a smooth and trouble-free process.

How to order

1st Car Imports ensure that purchasing a new car is a trouble-free process taking only 5 simple steps:

Free, no obligation quotation

If you would like to order a car listed on our website, or would like us to tailor a car to your needs, please contact us. We will be able to confirm the availability of the vehicle you wish to purchase, along with the exact price you will pay. This will include all our administration and delivery fees. There are no further hidden fees that we will charge.

Order confirmation

If the quotation is satisfactory, we require that you either fax or e-mail us with the name and full address of the end user (whose name will be on the registration certificate document), together with confirmation of the make, model, trim, engine size and any extras required for the vehicle. We also require a copy of the passport page containing the photograph and personal details of the vehicle's end user.

Transfer of deposit

Our European main dealer then makes up an order form that we either fax or e-mail to you for your perusal and signature. We will also send you the bank details of the main dealer to enable you to transfer the deposit directly to their account (usually 10% of the invoice price, or the full amount if the car is in stock and available for immediate delivery). The vehicle will be purchased in Euros, for which we recommend that you use our partner company Axia Fx to gain the most competitive exchange rates. Click here for more information.

Payment of administration and delivery fees

You return the signed order form to us, together with a cheque for our administration and delivery fees. If the car is to be specially ordered, delivery fees will be paid nearer to the time that the car arrives at the garage.

Payment of balance and delivery

If not already paid, the balance is payable through bank transfer from 7 days prior to the car arriving at the garage, up until 28 days after arrival. Upon payment of the balance we will arrange either self-collection or delivery by vehicle transporter to your UK address.

Further information

If you wish to register your car in the UK you will have to contact your DVLA local office (VRO) to request an 'Import Pack' prior to delivery. This pack includes the necessary registration and VAT forms to enable you to register the vehicle.
